  Originally I wrote this as part of a series on my TikTok where fans would submit adjectives they wanted me to write around. Someone had suggested I write something "Numb" and this was sort of the first thing that came to mind. I made it in my home studio in Brooklyn, sampling my incredibly out-of-tune Craigslist piano, and added that dance-y synth bass line. The initial groove felt good enough that I wanted to live in it for a bit longer than the 60 second tiktok. Months later I connected with Abhi The Nomad in person, (We actually originally connected on TikTok when he duet-ed a beat of mine)- While on tour him and his band stopped by my studio and we worked on a bunch of new music, and I showed him this. A few weeks later he sent me a verse and we wrapped the song up into what it is now.
