  I wrote and recorded the majority of the song in a few hours in November of 2021. Recently I had got a piano off craigslist and a friend and I nearly killed ourselves moving it from Edison, NJ to my apartment in Brooklyn. I've lived in New York for 10 years and this is the first place I've ever had a real piano, so I immediately started writing. I'd been spending a ton of time working on music by myself in my place and was also reading a collection of short Irish horror stories (very specific and strange) - and started to think about how banal and interesting a current age ghost would be. One that grew up in a similar time as us, trapped in those times, in this apartment with me. I quickly finished it and worked with Abe Seiferth (Former DFA Engineer, Nation of Language, etc) to put a mix and some final touches on it.
